ABOUT THE PLAY

They say that just before you waft off to heaven (or plummet to that other place); your life passes before your eyes.  Well, O.K., for the sake of argument.

But does that same life do that same flashing thing when you’re standing on a high diving board above a hotel swimming pool in Greece?

In HIGH DIVE, you bet it does!  Especially if you are the principal character who attracts inadvertent adventure like a magnet:  motorcycle mishaps, tidal waves, hurricanes, unbelievable jobs, and a soused celebrity.

Since the principal character is a woman, does this make it a “woman’s play”?  No.  The play’s underlying theme is adventure and risk-taking and that, in one way or another, is the story of all our lives – regardless of age, sex, or national origin.

HIGH DIVE is a one-woman show with a very large cast.

Leslee Richards is the one-woman.

The very large cast includes, but isn’t limited to:  Harry Zimmermann, Andrew Pollack, and Diana Dorland.
